Gone are the days of potty training & playdates. Now you lie in bed at night, your mind flooded with thoughts of:
Refusing to shower, staying up past midnight, crash dieting, bulking, bouts of anxiety or depression, substance use... How's a parent to know what's normal – and what's not?
Hormonal, underslept, and overwhelmed are words that definitely apply to teens, and also sometimes to their midlife parents! How can we navigate all these emotional waves without crashing into one another?
Friendship drama. Dating. Dicey group texts. Intense gaming chats. It's clear they need our guidance, but how do we do it without pitting ourselves against their peers or their passions?
As their parent, we want them to be happy and resilient.
To have good, positive friends that surround them.
To have passions they feel connected to.
To take ownership of their successes, and to learn from their mistakes.
To know what opportunities to say yes to, and
to have the strength of character to say NO
to the ideas, people, and substances that will hurt them.
It can be a bumpy road, but it's a lot smoother when you've got a trusty roadmap.
introducing
Deep dives into the challenges keeping you up at night, so you can finally know how to handle things like peer pressure, substances, dating, academic stress, social anxiety, executive function, social media, and porn – not to mention their hormonal fluctuations AND yours too, if you've got them! :)
No need to scour the internet and fall down rabbitholes only to find they aren't accurate or even helpful. I give you only the best of what you need to know. That way, you become an expert in what your child is going through, and you've got the practical resources you need in order to make it through these years stronger than ever.
If you want to fine tune the learning to YOUR family with high-level, custom-tailored support, just add private sessions as you wish. That way, whatever you're going through, you'll have the course to help you understand it, and ME to help you through it.
For years, parents asked me to teach an "older kid" version of my ORIGINAL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM, but I refused, because I personally hate getting advice from people who haven't truly been through something, and then give you ideas that sound good but don't work.
I knew that no matter how much I knew about younger kids – and I know A LOT – I had the good sense that teenagerhood would be a whole new ballgame.
I waited until my oldest was 18 to offer my first Cohort for Parents of Teens, so that I could give you the experienced, hands-on support you deserve during these years of tumult and change.
These days, my youngest is almost there as well, and I have been blessed to carry many parents through this program already.
Welcome. I'm glad you are here. ❤️

Now when they have big feelings, you'll know how to help them choose growth, get themselves out of tight corners, and practice positive life skills. This will increase your trust in them, as well as their trust in you.
Instead of being afraid of their world and feeling like an outsider, you'll have a much more intimate understanding of what they're going through, which will help you feel less worried and more connected.
Teenagerhood shakes our parental confidence because the tools we used when they were younger no longer work. By the end of this course, you'll have a whole new set of tools that work wonders for who they are NOW.

"We'd gone from a 14 yo star student to a struggling 17yo dealing with all the really big teenage issues, it was scary. Teen TTP came at just the right time, and has been really healing. She feels more like herself, and she's on the right trajectory now."
